Blackburn Hamlet is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,803 living in private households. 15.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 5.0%. 81.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 17.4% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $122,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 20.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.66 km², giving a population density of 2,899 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
