Centretown West is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,579 living in private households. 41.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Southeast Asian at 9.4%. 54.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 31.5% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $47,600 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 81.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.57 km², giving a population density of 6,225 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
