Elmvale (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,313 living in private households. 28.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 9.8%. 69.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 24.4% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $101,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 32.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.03 km², giving a population density of 3,226 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
