McKellar Heights is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,015 living in private households. 51.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 28.2%. 44.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 35.2% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $52,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 78.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.76 km², giving a population density of 3,421 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
