Barrhaven (south) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,124 living in private households. 58.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 15.4%. 40.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.8% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $99,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 40.1% of households rented rather than owned.
