Gloucester (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,410 living in private households. 49.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 24.5%. 47.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 32.9% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $64,500 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 71.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.52 km², giving a population density of 2,902 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
