Hull (north-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Gatineau, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,714 living in private households. 37.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 22.1%. 59.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 27.3% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $46,800 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 83.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 5.38 km², giving a population density of 877 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
