Gatineau (southeast) is a neighbourhood of Gatineau, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,471 living in private households. 23.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 11.3%. 71.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 17.4% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $52,800 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 63.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.68 km², giving a population density of 1,669 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
