Katimavik (south) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,925 living in private households. 32.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 9.1%. 64.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 28.8% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $110,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 19.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.19 km², giving a population density of 3,163 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
