Ottawa (west 3) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,029 living in private households. 46.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 16.0%. 51.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 36.6% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $123,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 20.6% of households rented rather than owned.
