Perkins is a neighbourhood of Val-Des-Monts, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,723 living in private households. 3.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 0.8%. 91.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 3.5% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $114,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 12.7% of households rented rather than owned.
