Rideau Gardens (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,613 living in private households. 11.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 3.2%. 87.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 15.6% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $164,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 18.2% of households rented rather than owned.
