Mountain View (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Gatineau, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,396 living in private households. 35.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 13.1%. 61.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 25.4% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $142,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 10.8% of households rented rather than owned.
