Templeton (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Gatineau, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,364 living in private households. 10.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 5.6%. 84.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 8.1% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $102,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 30.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.66 km², giving a population density of 2,393 people per square kilometre (Ottawa-Gatineau averages about 174).
