Vieux-Gatineau (northwest 2) is a neighbourhood of Gatineau, in Ottawa-Gatineau. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,096 living in private households. 12.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 26.4% across Ottawa-Gatineau as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 5.5%. 84.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 9.7% of the population, compared with 21.4% citywide. Median household income before tax was $110,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Ottawa-Gatineau. 30.0% of households rented rather than owned.
